Author’s Note
I feel pleased to present this volume to those who aspire to learn the language for diverse reasons – familial, academic, vocational or professional. It is a new version of the book Gujarati Grammar that I wrote twenty-five years ago for the same reason. Teaching this language and its conversational grammar at Bishop’s House of Rajkot Diocese for over three decades inspired me to take up writing a book containing an alternative approach to learning Gujarati grammar. This book is a culmination of that, and I hope it will be of use to all learners. This book will become very useful to the students who are studying in the schools and colleges. A detailed explanation of English grammar has not been given, assuming that the reader is aware of basic English grammar. I hope the readers will spare my limited knowledge of English language. I express my thankfulness to my nephew Parth Joshi, who helped me with editing and proofreading the English passages in the book. I am grateful to the publishing team of Vedant Knowledge Systems Pvt Ltd for rapidly completing the technical procedure and bringing out the work smoothly and swiftly. Suggestions and feedback from readers are most welcome!
